Joy to the World
This has been, overall, a good semester. I really enjoyed the new classmates I met online and enjoyed reading all of the blogs. Life is funny sometimes. We have to embrace every moment that we can and just enjoy the good times as well as the bad times. I really hope everyone has had a great year so far and take advantage of the blessing that God has bestowed upon us. I really enjoy this time of the year because I reflect over the course of time in reference to what I have accomplished this year. So far, I have achieved the goals that I set for myself and though life is really beginning for me, I really thank God for the years past that has shaped me to the man I am today. For this, I am very proud of how things are turning out and just thankful for life’s challenges and transistions. I love the ole saying, what will not kill you, will make you stronger. I am ready for Thanksgiving and for Christmas. I am ready for some good eaten, some fun and fellowship. I decree that everyone will have a remaining wonderful and prosperous year and much success in your professional lives as well as your personal lives. May God continue to bless your families because his mercy endures forever. Have a good Thanksgiving, a great Christmas, and a wonderful New Year.

Just Conversation
Wow! We are already in the month of November. I am so glad that the time is going back an hour this Sunday. I have a question. Can anyone explain to me why or who is responsible for recommending the time to move up one hour? Now, I think I have an understanding as to why they recommended the time go up. If you want to experience more day light to do additional chores or duties, then I suggest getting up a lot earlier than usual. This is a pet peeve of mine because we are loosing an hour sleep. Then there is the argument to go to bed early. Well, that is not always feasible either. I wish that they had left it the way it was because I love my extra hour of sleep. Now, I do take my vitamins, but I still want my hour of sleep. I do not like to be disturbed and I want to feel well-rested and not half dead; laugh aloud! My time is important to me and I know everyone else is as well. We should become better managers of our time if we want to experience more day light. The one thing about the time I am not in favor of is the fact it is a lot longer during daylight saving time than regular time. I mean, who idea was this and how can we gain control back to suggesting this time to stay the same without having uproar? I am protesting this because I want my hour of sleep back. That felt good getting that off my chess. Do we have any birthdays for anyone this month? I like to send a shout out to all the November birthdays sisters and brothers. On this special day, I say, happy birthday! I will also send a special shout out to my Queen, Tomeka Allen, because today is her birthday. May God continue to bless you on this Special Day! Everyone have a great weekend!

This Is Some Year! Wow!
I am so glad that this semester is about to be over. We are now entering in the seasons where families come together to celebrate the holidays. We are about to enjoy some good ole fashion cooking with dressing, turkey, ham, sweet potato pies, and all other great foods. It is amazing that we can only celebrate this only on special occasions rather than most of the time. Enjoying family is important. Christmas, and thanksgiving should not be the only times we can get together as family and put aside petty differences to enjoy. As the apostle Paul would write, put behind me the past and focus on the future. This was not his exact words, but the meaning is all the same. The fair is here and almost gone again. We are about to enter into the month of November celebrating thanksgiving. I am looking forward to enjoying the rest of this year with family and friends and just excited about our future. I encourage focus on your dreams and reach for the stars. I hope everyone is having a great week and weekend. I am taking my family to the fair this weekend as promised and just enjoy quality time with them. Yes, it is that time of the year for celebrations and restorations. Everyone be blessed!

Just Enjoying the Weekend
This has been an interesting week for me. After working this week on all my jobs, I will, this weekend, rest, and just enjoy the family watching T.V. or watching movies. We also have the fair. Is anyone going to the fair this weekend? I know that I will take my family probably next week. I love going to the Fair because of the rides, the smell of fresh state fair corn dogs, and the funnel cakes. I love to ride and eat whenever we go. Every time we go, I make a declaration that I will not spend as much because the fair can get you. However, when we go, I always spend more than I plan to. The fair really knows how to get into your pockets, but it is worth it. I always enjoy this time of the year because of the fair, thanksgiving, and Christmas. Overall, this has been an interesting year for us. I hope that everyone enjoy themselves this weekend and just take a load off. Enjoy your families and just have a good time.

Keeping the Faith
I am so thankful to what God is doing for the family and me. It is hard, at times, when you are going to school, working three jobs, and pursuing your dreams. At times, I want to give up and just throw in the towel, but God; am giving me the strength to do what I have to do to support my family. As I go from day to day, I rejoice just knowing that God is my strength and my redeemer. He is the reason for who I am today. The joy of the Lord is my strength. I share this because I get excited when I face opposition that try to take me down. I love this scripture; “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”Proverbs 3:5. I know that I want to just break free and say no more, but I know that my family comes first. I thank God for them because when I want to throw in the towel I remember the scripture that say I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I reflect on my children where the scriptures say that a man should leave an inheritance to his children’s, children. And then I am reminded of this scripture;” Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.”Proverbs 16:3 I can do nothing, but to hold on and just trust God to continue to lead me as I continue my journey to spiritual, physical, emotionally, and financially success. What also keep me focused are my dreams and hopes. Good aspirations are always good because you think of them in the beginning, the middle, and the end of the day. Yeah, we all have the oppositions that try to steal our hope for tomorrow, but I am just thankful that we serve a God that will cover us all the way to the end. My family is worth every bit of my struggle just so that they can have and not be without. With opposition, it is either do or dies and in my case, I choose to do. After all, faith without works is dead. Amen!

Where is the Customer Service?
The strangest thing happened to me the first of Friday night, and the fourth of Monday night. First, on Friday night, I called domino to order pizza for my family and I. I called domino and got the operator and they asked me to hold. “Thanks for calling dominos pizza, can you hold please?” so I hold for about 20 minutes. “Man, what is going on, why am I holding this long?” suddenly, the phone hung up! I called back again and the operator answered again;”Thanks for calling dominos pizza, can you hold please?” “No, because you hung up in my face the first time!” she told me that she was sorry and placed me on hold again. I called back again because by this time I am upset. This is some bad customer service. I called back and asked to speak to a manager and the person, who answered the phone, told me to hold again. By this time I am past upset, now I am furious. They seemed to have forgotten to be polite, courteous, and show hospitality. Those workers were playing games and showed no concern for the customer. I called pizza hut and finally got to order my pizza. They delivered my pizza, after an hour, and when I got it, it was cold. They also did not remember to bring my drinks. I must say, the customer service is ridiculous. The driver apologized and said that he would bring the drinks back to me. I said to him that was fine. Well I went to pick my daughter up from school because she was coming from a football game. I called pizza hut to let them know that my pizza was cold and that I did not receive my two drinks. When I called, I asked to speak to a manager. I spoke to the manager and she said that she offered me a 20.00 credit because of my inconvient. I told the manager thank you for her concern. Keep in mind that when I call back to order a pizza, I will get a pizza free because of my credit, not know that this information was not input into the computer. I finally call on Monday night to order a pizza and when I asked about my credit, they informed me that there was no credit. I drove to pick my pizza up so I was in the window for about 30 to 40 minutes arguing the fact that I had a 20.00 credit. Of course, I paid for the pizza, but am going back to speak with a district manager regarding this matter. I just like to say that when ever you have a dispute make sure you write down the person’s name you spoke to and what the issue is concerning. It does help when you confront people on the truth. To me, it was the principle of the matter, the manager told me I had a 20.00 credit, but it was nowhere in the system I ordered or had the credit. Customer service, now, is not what it is supposed to be and I just like to say that hospitality goes a long way and we spend our hard earn monies at these local restaurants and we should be treated with the upmost respect.

Just B Free!
Today is a good day! Today is a great day! Yes, today is a good day. The beautiful sunshine and the clear blue skies, make it all worthwhile, just able to see with these middle-aged eyes. I just gazed up in the sky just enjoying the view, and when I look, I think the sky is saying back hey you. At times, I look up, and wonder what it would be to fly, but man what a ways up in the sky. Oh yeah, it is great to sit and ponder, though when it pour down and rains, there lots of thunder. I love to be able to leap off tall buildings like superman, but I am still just an ordinary man. In case your wondering is it worth just playing makes believe, yes, it is, I have something still up my sleeve. Thank you Lord for giving me the power, just know this, I am still the man of the hour. Look at the entire airplanes fly by, now sitting here watching movies that making me cry. I love peace, I love joy, and I love to dream, love sitting here throwing rocks, watching flying fish go up stream. It’s a happing I am about to take flight, just know that your watching the kid a dynomite. Wow! I really did enjoy that little poem or rhyme which ever I performed. It is good at times to just allow your thoughts to ramble on and have fun. I enjoy having fun and just being me. In spite, all the rough spots in life you got to know how to have fun and enjoy yourself. I enjoy pursuing my dreams because it shows me how to be free and so that is just me being free.

claim your prosperity
I will prosper no matter what! Those words are refreshing to my ears! I am excited about where I am going. I thank God for allowing me to move forward in spite the challenges. Wow! What a mighty God we serve. Each day is a new day for celebration. We celebrate our hopes and dreams. We celebrate our break through. We celebrate our revelations. Everyday can be a celebration. If we condition our minds this way, it can be rewarding. As I look at some of the challenges that tried and test me, I am a learned person to know that on the outside and inside I am tough. No bad experience can hold me. There is no challenge that can tackle me. No issue can go unresolved. Nevertheless, God can! I encourage all of us to release. Allow your roars to sound loud. Allow your wings to spread wide. I say, sore through the mighty clouds and allow the world to see you sore like the eagles you are. Thanks! I had to get that out! Man, the days seem so long, but I am grateful that I make it through them. Sometimes I just want to shout aloud for no reason! Do you ever feel that way? Probably so, if you had a stressful day, but never the less, I can still parade with a great big smile on my face knowing that I will prosper in everything I set out to do. In addition, if for some reason I do not hit all of my goals, I will overcome 95% of them. Hallelujah!

The Vision
Each day is a surprising day. I am thankful for each day that God allows me to get up in the morning to do everything fresh. The beauties about grace and mercy, you always, Lord willing, have another opportunity to do what you were destined to do. I do not take grace or mercy for granted. Instead, I embrace the opportunity that is affordable to me each day to pursue my goals. At times, we hardly ever feel that we deserve another chance; grace is always there to pick us up and dust us off so that we can continue to pursue what we are destined to do. The previous day we feel, often times, we messed up or missed our chance. Each day that I am at work, I reflect on my vision. The vision is my source of admiration, my sense of belonging, my accelerator to help me get through the day. According to the word, it says where there is no vision people perish. Proverbs 29:18. Just think; if you were to get up every morning and did not have a clue as to what you were doing or where you headed. If you had no direction at all, where would you be? You will be lost without a paddle. I have to stay focused if I want to make it through the day. Sometimes it is hard because you grow board of the same ole routine day in and day out. I am happy when I get off early because I can then focus on my own thing rather pursuing someone else’s dream. Everyday I thank God for another opportunity to pursue my vision, my passion, my goal, my aspiration. Nevertheless, who wants to spend the rest of their lives fulfilling someone else’s dream when you can be chasing yours? After all, life is too short and I want to enjoy it to the fullest. Stay tuned for more of your tough experiences.

The daydream
It is amazing when you have a craving for success. Sometimes, the things you want the most does not come fast enough. Just think you wake up in the morning, taking a good old stretch and then yawn. You start to wipe the sleep from your eyes and then head for the restroom. Now, you are in there about to shower and the hot water hits your face and on your body giving you a strong since of motivation. Now you are rejuvenate from the good ole shower. Once you get out you see everyone and suddenly say ‘Good Morning Everyone, how did you sleep,’ and everyone just with a sluggish, sleepiest tone, ‘good morning, good and you?’ Now you are getting ready and once you finished getting ready for your day you say to yourself, ‘today is going to be a great day.’ ‘Today will be a successful day, spiritually, and financially.’ You are doing well so far up until twelve and one o’clock in the afternoon. You had a fulfilling lunch and now you are loss for motivation. The day seems so long and everything you desired seemed to be lost. However, just when all hope was lost, there comes that middle of a daydream that puts you back in focus. It is good to have a mid day daydream because it realigns you back on your path of destiny. After all, what are daydreams for other than to get your mind off that crappy of a job? Thank God for daydreams. Stay tuned for another episode of tough experiences.

tough experiences
Have you ever got on a job that you could sort of get use to, but it was not the dream job, but just a job that will help you pay the bills? Have you ever became familiar with the job, the co workers and doing so you felt, well maybe i can get use to this for a while, or perhaps you see that there is some advancement possibilities? Did you ever get in good with the boss, not based on because your parents knew them, or a friend recommended you, or perhaps you knew them from church, but was in their good graces because you did exactly what they asked you to do with out any complaints? Well, if you answered yes to any or all these questions then you probably had some tough experiences. How i know? I have experienced all. The decision that is now easy for me to make is that i will no longer work for anyone else but for myself. To be continued........
