Each day is a surprising day. I am thankful for each day that God allows me to get up in the morning to do everything fresh. The beauties about grace and mercy, you always, Lord willing, have another opportunity to do what you were destined to do. I do not take grace or mercy for granted. Instead, I embrace the opportunity that is affordable to me each day to pursue my goals. At times, we hardly ever feel that we deserve another chance; grace is always there to pick us up and dust us off so that we can continue to pursue what we are destined to do. The previous day we feel, often times, we messed up or missed our chance. Each day that I am at work, I reflect on my vision. The vision is my source of admiration, my sense of belonging, my accelerator to help me get through the day. According to the word, it says where there is no vision people perish. Proverbs 29:18. Just think; if you were to get up every morning and did not have a clue as to what you were doing or where you headed. If you had no direction at all, where would you be? You will be lost without a paddle. I have to stay focused if I want to make it through the day. Sometimes it is hard because you grow board of the same ole routine day in and day out. I am happy when I get off early because I can then focus on my own thing rather pursuing someone else’s dream. Everyday I thank God for another opportunity to pursue my vision, my passion, my goal, my aspiration. Nevertheless, who wants to spend the rest of their lives fulfilling someone else’s dream when you can be chasing yours? After all, life is too short and I want to enjoy it to the fullest. Stay tuned for more of your tough experiences.
My pastor preached on vision and he states the same thing, but he also mentions the provision that God has for you that makes the vision you have come true. In order to have a vision you must also have PROVISION!!!! As for mercy & grace, personally I wouldn't be here today without both of them. Those drunk nights I made home safely was his mercy & grace. Those bad days at work I wanted to punch my boss in the mouth, but didn't was his mercy & grace bestowed on me!!! I feel you on this one My Brotha!!!!
ReplyDeleteI believe you will make your dreams come true as long as you continue to believe and work hard. Never stop believing in yourself, your vision, and God.
ReplyDeleteI love what Will Smith's character talks about in the movie "The Pursuit of Happiness." He says that happiness is not guaranteed. It is up to each of us to "pursue" our happiness. That really is a true statement. We have to find what makes us happy and then pursue it. What makes me happy will not make somone else happy. It is everyones right however to pursue their own happiness, and hopefully you find it.
